When it is worth reaching out
Persistent sadness, low energy, loss of interest, difficulty getting up, emptiness or a sense that daily activities are meaningless are signals worth taking seriously.
You do not have to wait until things get worse. A conversation makes sense even when everything looks fine from the outside and you feel you are fading.
Burnout is not laziness
Burnout develops where the balance between demand and recovery has been missing for a long time. It shows up as exhaustion, cynicism about work and a sense that nothing matters.
I look at lifestyle, sleep, boundaries and real opportunities for rest — not only at attitude.
Seasonal low mood
In autumn and winter many people feel lower energy, more sleepiness and a stronger need to withdraw. This is common and understandable, and you can respond to it deliberately.
Together we plan a daily rhythm, light exposure and activity that make this period easier.
A holistic view
I also check whether biological factors play a part — deficiencies or hormonal problems can produce symptoms resembling depression. Where relevant, I suggest tests worth discussing with a doctor.
Psychological consultation does not replace psychiatric treatment. If your situation calls for it, I will point you to the right specialists.
