Marta Adamczyk-Girčys

Editorial standards

I write about mental health, so I believe you deserve a clear account of who creates this content and what it rests on.

Who writes these texts

I am the author of every article on this site — Marta Adamczyk-Girčys, a psychologist with over 11 years of experience and a graduate of the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Warsaw. Every text is signed with my name.

Each article shows its publication date and, where there have been substantial changes, the date of the update. Texts I have not yet approved are not published.

What I base the content on

I base health-related statements on scientific research and guidance from recognised institutions. When I cite a specific study, I give the source with a link — you can check it yourself.

If I describe a concept that is popular but not part of the official classifications, I say so plainly. Readers have a right to know when they are reading about widely accepted knowledge and when about one researcher's own approach.

Sometimes findings are not clear-cut. In those cases I say so openly rather than reducing the picture to a single sentence.

What you will not find here

I do not promise outcomes or guaranteed results. I do not diagnose over the internet — an article cannot replace a conversation with a professional who knows your situation.

I do not give medication names, doses or supplement protocols.

I do not publish reviews that do not come from my own clients, and I offer no incentives in exchange for them.

Updates and reporting errors

Psychological knowledge changes, so I return to published texts and update them. A substantial change always updates the modification date; minor language corrections do not.

If you notice an error or outdated information in any article, write to me at holisticpsychology@adamczyk-gircys.com. I correct confirmed errors as quickly as I can — I do not leave content in place that I know to be wrong.
